Our Stockinpiggle Grass-Fed Lamb & Hogget are a great and helpful species to run on the farm, there ability to graze close to the soil in some production systems is seen as a challenge but here it is a big help. See our Sheep help us graze our laneways all over the farm only staying in the same patch for a short time we manage our sheep through our system so we don't need to use Herbicides at all too keep grass growth off our fences. When the sheep are not doing this job on the farm they are moving regularly over pasture using portable infrastructure.
Doing this allows us to keep our mob happy and healthy without using chemicals. This method also ensures we limit the effects hard hoofs & low grazing ability can have on our soil.
If you have not tried Hogget (2 tooth Lamb) before you'll be amazed at the depth of flavour and marbling of the meat. Old time farmers preferred Hogget on their dinner table for this very reason.
